ITS A BIRD! ITS A PLANE! ITS... what the hell is that? And is that a flying llama next to the guy?
Hi its me your somtimes friendly neighbourhood Ry-Man. Ok I've been playing Injustice: Dogs Among Us :I. And kinda in a superhero mood at the moment, especially after playing the story of Injustice.. and without spoiling too much, pretty much the story starts off with Superman being tricked into killing Lois and their unborn child, which in turn changed Superman into killing his enemies and eventually turning into an asshole. I like how it shows that even heroes can have a dark side to them. This got me thinking... what if I had super powers? W

This journal I decided to make it helpful. (hopefully) ^^
If you like to paint digitally, it doesn't matter what program you are using.
As long as it is functional enough for you, and you enjoy painting when you use it. ^^
I love to try all painting programs, it's like exploring!
Though we already know that Photoshop, Painter and Sai are great, but there are free ones
that good enough to create artwork as beautiful as those prog
DID YOU KNOW? I use Photoshop to do my drawings? ITS TRUE! Im guessing people don't know about this because once a week I would have someone asking me ^^ well thats fine. Today I am gonna share with you lots my history with Photoshop, how we met, how we worked out our differences, how we bonded, and how we eventually took another step further. <3
Me and Photoshop met some time in the 2003? (Its been 10 years already?!) She was introduced to me by my cousin. At first I didn't know what to do with her, I just started playing around with photos, like adding flames on my hair, going all nuts with filters, editing clothes off of my favourite c
Errors are part of the road embrace them, learn from them be stronger, dont skip them. To learn how to ride a bike learn to fall first. So you can land on your feet, then try hard and faster, with no more fear to fall.
I dont believe in mentors, not all mentors are qualified to teach, they can misguide you sometimes. If you have a mentor it can turn you into his clone, i had seen tons of great artists that their technique wasnt good but they were more unique and after having mentor, their style lose uniqueness. Because be honest, we copy what we like, and usually we ask for mentors of people that style will enjoy the most.
For example you
I had the honor of derping with these hilarious Fisheye Placebo cosplayers at Sakura-con!

The most important thing about creating art is to create. If you want to be at ease with creativity, you have to immerse yourself in it, and do a little bit every day. Even if that little bit is only to take five minutes while waiting for the bus to come and do a gesture drawing of a man reading his book across the street from you. Or to take the moment to scribble down a thumbnail rough sketch of a concept that occurs to you. Do a little bit each day. Train your brain to think visually.
It can be difficult at first, accustoming yourself to make this small bit of time, because you’ll think:
“I don’t have enough time for it
Secret to Success: Draw with your balls out by Ry-Spirit, journal
Secret to Success: Draw with your balls out
Happy new ears my brothers and sisters. I hope you had a good break, but now its time to get back to work! And Ry here has a pro tip for you, something I have kept to myself but I think you as an artist should know about and adapt this habit. Its actually not that complicated, you should just always Draw with your balls out.
A wise man by the name of John Rambo once told us that we should 'Stay ballsy'. We should not let our fear overtake us, we should dive head in into obstacles and fight the demons without fear and without worries. Well I have taken that approach and incorporated it into my drawing, believe it or not I have never been conf
It's time to refresh the tutorial journal! Added some new ones and removed those which, after some time, I found a bit misleading.
Below you'll find a list of tutorials I personally think of as the best on dA. If I have any problems with painting something I usually take a look at one of those.
Is there anything you're having troubles with? Need help looking for a good tutorial? Or maybe you'd like to see a video walk-through of me painting something?
I'm open for suggestions for what kind of tutorial/walk-through you'd like to see from me. If you're interested in anything, post your suggestions in the comments!
